Website checklist
Website checklist: what every plumbing website needs
Plumbers win jobs on speed and trust. Here's what your site needs to actually support that.
A plumbing website doesn't need to be elaborate — it needs to answer the questions a stressed homeowner has at 11pm in under five seconds. Here's what to check for.
- Phone number visible on every screenClick-to-call, above the fold, on both desktop and mobile — not buried at the bottom of the page.
- Licensed & insured, stated clearlyThis is one of the first things people check before letting a stranger into their home.
- Service area listed explicitlyName the towns or zip codes you cover, so people know you serve them before they call.
- Emergency availability called outIf you take after-hours or emergency calls, say so prominently — it's a major decision factor.
- Core services listed clearlyDrain cleaning, water heaters, leak repair, etc. — named specifically, not just "plumbing services."
- Fast load timeSomeone searching from a job site or a leaking basement won't wait for a slow page.
- Mobile-first layoutMost emergency searches happen on a phone, not a desktop.
- A single, obvious next stepOne clear call-to-action — call now — not five competing buttons.
If your current site is missing more than one or two of these, that's usually enough to be losing calls to a competitor who has them.
